Rick Abbruzzese
Rick Abbruzzese has a long successful record of advocacy in Maryland representing diverse non-profit, corporate, health care, energy, and technology client interests in the State of Maryland and Delaware.
Rick served as a top adviser and Director of Public Affairs to former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley. As chief spokesperson for the Administration, he was responsible for overseeing internal and external communications, political outreach, policy development and intergovernmental affairs for the governor’s office. Rick has long-standing relationships with members of the local and national media, top elected officials in Annapolis and throughout the Greater Baltimore and Washington regions.
Just prior to joining KO, Rick served as Vice President, Public Affairs for a multi-national real estate investment and development group where he led public relations, government affairs and marketing campaigns for numerous investment funds and development projects throughout the United States and Canada.
Previously, Rick worked for nationally known public affairs agencies including Widmeyer Communications and Porter Novelli in Washington, D.C. and Arnold Worldwide in Boston.
Rick was named 40 Under 40 by Baltimore Magazine and appeared on The Maryland Daily Record's Power List for Government and Lobbying in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
