Account Executive

KO Public Affairs is seeking an Account Executive to help lead and support client accounts. We are seeking a highly organized and reliable individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position will assist with content development, writing, client research and administrative support to leadership.

Core responsibilities for this position include:

  • Draft content for press releases, op-eds, proposals and social media

  • Provide social media support: drafting potential posts, tracking followers, monitoring accounts

  • Maintain and implement email campaigns

  • Assist in project research

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings

  • Perform community outreach and engagement

  • Complete administrative duties as assigned

  • Manage multiple projects at once

  • Work with senior leadership of agency to service clients, adding responsibility as warranted

Qualifications

Required:

  • A self-starter who is able to work with a high degree of autonomy

  • Well-organized and a multi-tasker

  • Proficient in social media platforms and Microsoft programs

  • Outgoing, team player

  • Mature and able to maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct

  • A strong writer

Preferred:

  • Able to edit various media mediums 

  • Public relations/public affairs/government experience

Benefits:

Competitive benefits package offered to all full-time employees. Salary is commensurate with experience. Hybrid work schedule working 3-4 days/week in the office and the remaining day(s) can be remote.

Travel:

Frequent day trips for out-of-office meetings and events throughout the state. Out-of-state/overnight travel, less than 10%.
